Voter ID Verification: Check Your Name in Voter List and Application Status

Want to confirm your name is on the voter list, or check the status of a voter ID application? Both can be done online on the Election Commission’s portal in a couple of minutes.

Check if your name is in the electoral roll

1. Go to voters.eci.gov.in and choose Search in Electoral Roll.
2. Search by EPIC number, by your details (name, relative’s name, age, state, district) or by mobile number.
3. Enter the captcha and search. Your entry shows your polling station and part/serial number.

Track a voter ID application (Form 6 / 7 / 8)

1. On voters.eci.gov.in, choose Track Application Status.
2. Enter your reference number and state.
3. You’ll see the current stage: submitted, BLO appointed, field verified, accepted or rejected.

Frequently asked questions

If you’ve never registered, apply with Form 6. If you moved, use Form 8 to shift your entry.
