Arun Jaitley Stadium (formerly Feroz Shah Kotla) on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg in central Delhi is the home of Delhi Capitals in the IPL and WPL, and one of India’s oldest Test grounds. It’s run by the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) and holds about 41,000 spectators. The roads around it (BSZ Marg, JLN Marg and Asaf Ali Road) are among Delhi’s busiest, so on match days you need to know which road leads to your gate, where to park, and which metro station to use.

Nearest metro station to Arun Jaitley Stadium
Delhi Gate metro station on the Violet Line is closest, just a short walk from the stadium’s gates on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg. Delhi Traffic Police strongly advises fans to use the metro on match days, as roads around the stadium are closed or diverted from late afternoon until around midnight.

Your gate number is printed on your ticket. The traffic police split entry routes by gate:

- General public (free): Mata Sundari Road, Rajghat Power House Road and Velodrome Road, from where you walk or use park-and-ride.
- Vehicles with an official parking label only: P1 (JP Park, near Gate 3), P2 (Vikram Nagar, near Shahidi Park), P3 (near the JJB Prayas office, two-wheelers) and P4 (between Gates 7 and 8).
- No parking: Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, and the Ring Road stretch between Rajghat and the IP Flyover. Illegally parked vehicles are towed and prosecuted.

Roads to avoid on match days
From about 5 pm until midnight on evening match days, avoid Jawaharlal Nehru Marg (Rajghat to Delhi Gate), Asaf Ali Road (Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate) and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg (Delhi Gate to ITO). Heavy vehicles are restricted on these stretches.
Tickets, entry and banned items
- Tickets: buy only from Delhi Capitals’ official ticketing partner for the season. Follow the entry instructions on your ticket (e-ticket QR or physical ticket) and use the gate printed on it.
- Arrive early: gates open well before the start, and security queues on BSZ Marg are long for evening matches.
