Eden Gardens in Kolkata is India’s oldest international cricket ground, the home of Kolkata Knight Riders and the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). How to reach Eden Gardens
- Metro: Esplanade is the most convenient metro station, a walk across the Maidan area to the ground.
- Train: Eden Gardens station on the Kolkata Circular Railway is right by the ground.
- Bus: on match days, the bus stands at Band Stand and Auckland Road have been shifted to Kiran Shankar Roy Road and Esplanade Row East (near the Central Bus Terminus).
Road closures and parking
- Closed to vehicles during restricted hours: Kshudiram Bose Road, North Brooke Avenue and Gostha Pal Sarani.
- No parking on either side of Gostha Pal Sarani, Kshudiram Bose Road, Government Place East, Rani Rashmoni Avenue, Old Court House Street, Red Road, Mayo Road and Dufferin Road.
- No parking is provided for taxis, private buses or other vehicles in and around Eden Gardens on match days.
Tickets and entry
- Buy tickets only from KKR’s official ticketing partner for the season. For IPL 2026, entry used a QR code in the ticketing app, so screenshots may not scan. Keep your phone charged and the app ready.
- Use the gate printed on your ticket, and carry a government photo ID (a physical card or DigiLocker).
- Tampered or damaged tickets are refused.
Things not allowed in Eden Gardens
