How to reach Wankhede Stadium
- Local train: Churchgate (Western Railway) is the closest, a few minutes’ walk. Marine Lines is one stop before and also walkable. From Central Railway, get off at CSMT and take a cab or walk (about 20–25 minutes).
- Metro: Mumbai Metro Line 3 (Aqua Line) also serves the Churchgate area.
- Cab / taxi: expect diversions and slow traffic on Marine Drive before and after the match. Get dropped a little away from the stadium and walk.
Parking near Wankhede Stadium
There’s no parking at the stadium for the general public, and roadside parking around Churchgate and Marine Drive is restricted on match days. If you must drive, park in a paid public parking facility elsewhere in South Mumbai and take a train or cab for the last stretch. Public transport is by far the easier option.
Entry gates and tickets
- Your gate is printed on your ticket. Wankhede’s entry gates are spread around the ground, some on the Marine Drive side and some on the Churchgate / D Road side. Check which side your gate is on before you arrive to avoid walking all the way around.
- Tickets: buy only from Mumbai Indians’ official ticketing partner (BookMyShow for IPL 2026). Follow the entry instructions on your ticket.
- Arrive early: gates usually open a couple of hours before the start, and security queues are long for evening matches.
