How to Check Aadhaar Authentication History Online

Last reviewed on · By Easy Guide India Editorial Team

Your Aadhaar authentication history shows every time your Aadhaar was used for verification: by a bank, SIM provider, ration shop, AePS agent or government service. It shows the date, time, type (OTP, fingerprint, iris, face or demographic) and the agency. Checking it regularly is the fastest way to spot misuse.

How to check your Aadhaar authentication history

  1. Go to myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in and log in with your Aadhaar number and OTP.
  2. Select Authentication History.
  3. Choose the authentication type (all, biometric, OTP, demographic, etc.) and the date range.
  4. Click Fetch Authentication History to see the records.

UIDAI shows up to the last six months of records, a limited number at a time.

What each record shows

  • Date and time of authentication
  • Modality: OTP, fingerprint, iris, face or demographic
  • Name of the Authentication User Agency (AUA), for example a bank or telecom company
  • Whether it succeeded or failed, and a reference code

Found an entry you don’t recognise?

  1. Lock your Aadhaar biometrics immediately.
  2. Report it to UIDAI by calling 1947 or emailing help@uidai.gov.in.
  3. If money was withdrawn through AePS, inform your bank at once and report cyber fraud on 1930 or cybercrime.gov.in.

Frequently asked questions

Can I see authentication history older than six months?

Not on myAadhaar. It shows recent records only. For older records, contact UIDAI.

Why does my history show authentications I didn’t make?

Some are routine (for example, e-KYC by your bank or telecom operator). If you can’t identify the agency or the timing looks wrong, treat it as suspicious and follow the steps above.
