How to Check Driving Licence Status Online

Whether you’ve applied for a new driving licence, a renewal or a change, you can track it online on Sarathi Parivahan. You can also check the details and validity of any existing licence there.

Check your DL application status

  1. Go to sarathi.parivahan.gov.in and select your state.
  2. Choose Application Status.
  3. Enter your application number and date of birth.
  4. You’ll see the current stage: submitted, test pending, approved, printed or dispatched.

Check an existing licence’s details and validity

  1. On the Parivahan website, open Online Services → Driving Licence Related Services, then choose DL Services / Know Your DL (options vary by state).
  2. Enter your DL number and date of birth.
  3. You’ll see the licence status (active or expired), validity dates and vehicle classes.

You can also add your DL to DigiLocker or mParivahan to see it at any time.
