India Post GDS Result: How to Check GDS Merit List Online

Last reviewed on · By Easy Guide India Editorial Team

India Post selects Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS: BPM, ABPM, Dak Sevak) through merit lists based on Class 10 marks. There’s no written exam. Merit lists are published circle-wise on the official GDS portal, in several rounds.

How to check the GDS merit list

  1. Go to indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
  2. Open the Shortlisted Candidates / Result section.
  3. Select your postal circle (state) and the list number (1st, 2nd, 3rd merit list, etc.).
  4. Download the PDF and search for your registration number or name.

If you’re shortlisted

  • The PDF names the Divisional Head and the date by which you must get your documents verified.
  • Take your original documents (Class 10 marksheet, ID, caste/PwD certificates as applicable, medical certificate) for verification.

Not in the first list?

India Post releases several merit lists as vacancies remain, so keep checking the portal.
