How to Check Bank Account Balance Online (UPI, App, Net Banking)
With internet access, the quickest ways to check your bank balance are your bank’s mobile app, net banking or any UPI app. Here’s how each works. For options without internet, see checking your balance without an app.
Method 1: UPI apps (BHIM, Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.)
- Open the UPI app linked to your bank account.
- Tap Check Balance (usually under your profile or bank account).
- Select the account and enter your UPI PIN.
- Your available balance appears on screen.
Method 2: Your bank’s mobile app
Log in with your MPIN, fingerprint or face ID. The balance is usually shown on the home screen, along with your mini-statement.
Method 3: Net banking
- Go to your bank’s official net banking website. Type the address yourself; don’t use links from messages.
- Log in with your user ID and password (plus OTP if asked).
- Open Accounts → Account Summary to see your balance and download statements.
Stay safe
- Checking your balance never requires sharing your UPI PIN or OTP with anyone.
- Use only official apps from the Play Store or App Store.
- If you see a debit you don’t recognise, block the account in your app and report cyber fraud on 1930.
