How to get to Gillette Stadium by train
For Patriots games and many major events, the MBTA Commuter Rail (operated by Keolis) runs special event trains to Foxboro Station, right next to the stadium. There are two routes: one from Boston (South Station) and one from Providence. Event trains need a special event ticket (historically $10 round trip), and they don’t run for every event, so check the MBTA Gillette Stadium page for your date.
Gillette Stadium parking
| Event | Parking | Lots open |
|---|---|---|
| Patriots games | Free general parking across Route 1; prepaid parking on the stadium side | 4 hours before kickoff |
| Revolution (regular season) | Free | 2 hours before kickoff |
| Concerts and special events | Free general parking across Route 1; prepaid parking on the stadium side | 4 hours before the event |
Prepaid (paid) parking is the only way to park on the stadium side of Route 1. Oversized vehicles park in Lot 52. Leaving after a sold-out event can take a long time, as all traffic funnels onto Route 1.
Uber and Lyft
The designated rideshare drop-off and pick-up is in Lot 15, the lot closest to the CVS Health Gate. Book your ride through the app as usual.
Gillette Stadium bag policy
- Allowed: a clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag up to 12″ × 6″ × 12″, plus a small clutch up to about 4.5″ × 6.5″.
- Not allowed: backpacks, large purses, camera bags and coolers.
- There’s no bag valet, but lockers are available (in trucks around the venue) for bags that don’t comply.
Payments
Gillette Stadium is fully cashless: only card and contactless payments are accepted inside. If you only have cash, Cash-to-Card kiosks convert it into a prepaid Visa card.
