PF Balance Check by Missed Call and SMS (EPF)

Last reviewed on · By Easy Guide India Editorial Team

You can check your EPF (PF) balance in seconds, without internet, by giving a missed call or sending an SMS from the mobile number registered with your UAN. You’ll also find the online options (EPFO passbook and UMANG app) below.

PF balance by missed call

Give a missed call to 9966044425 from your UAN-registered mobile. The call disconnects automatically, and you get an SMS with your last contribution and PF balance.

This works when your UAN is activated and linked with your Aadhaar, PAN or bank account (KYC).

PF balance by SMS

Send EPFOHO UAN ENG to 7738299899 from your registered mobile. Replace ENG with the first three letters of your preferred language (for example HIN for Hindi).

Online: EPFO passbook and UMANG

  • EPFO member passbook: log in on the EPFO passbook portal with your UAN and password to see every contribution.
  • UMANG app: search for EPFO and choose View Passbook.

Not getting the SMS?

  • Make sure you’re calling from the mobile number registered with your UAN.
  • Activate your UAN on the EPFO member portal if you haven’t.
  • Complete KYC (Aadhaar, PAN, bank) through your employer or the member portal.
