How to Update Photo and Signature in PAN Card Online
Want a clearer photo or an updated signature on your PAN card? Changes like this are made through a “Changes or Correction in existing PAN data / Reprint of PAN Card” request with Protean (NSDL) or UTIITSL. You keep the same PAN number and get a new card with the updated details.
Two ways to apply

Steps (Protean/NSDL example)
- Open Protean’s PAN application page and choose Changes or Correction in existing PAN data / Reprint of PAN card.
- Enter your PAN and details, and choose how to submit (Aadhaar e-KYC or scanned documents).
- Tick the photo mismatch and/or signature mismatch options in the form.
- Upload the required proofs, a photo and signature (for the scanned method).
- Pay the fee (similar to a new PAN application, about ₹107 for an Indian address).
- Save the acknowledgement number and track the status.
Frequently asked questions
Will my PAN number change?
No. Only the card details are updated; the PAN number stays the same.
Why is my Aadhaar photo showing on the new PAN?
If you apply via Aadhaar e-KYC, the photo is taken from your Aadhaar. To change it, update your Aadhaar photo at an Aadhaar centre first.
